Crazy

I haven't tried any yet to see what they taste like? But what I can tell you is. I told my kids I am giving them each a 3-month supply. My daughter was grateful, she said she had wanted to purchase some. My son was in the Marine corp. and grateful as well. I told them if they don't want it not to just give it away I give it to somebody else. I am an industrial electrician and I told the two guy's I work with what I had purchased and they said I was crazy and laughed at me I told them there is one thing they should know and be able to relate to is that our Electrical grid for the country received a grade of a D! They stopped laughing and said oh really!

Thanks

Food allergies

The kit is great. I have a family of four. Myself, wife, and two young boys(8&5). Good food selection with a lot of bonuses like the life straws, multi tools and all the literature. The packaging is excellent making it easy to store.
Unfortunately for me I am lactose intolerant. The rest of my family is fine. That being said it would be nice to see more food items catering towards not only my food allergy but others too.
I know it's not an easy task to do, but given the amount of people that are inflicted with these (lovely) allergies I think more people would turn towards your products then already do.
Not that it's an untapped market but I think it would definitely increase your sales. People love to see and appreciate companies that show awareness and offer products that cater to their special needs. At least for me it would've been a no brainier and I may have even purchased more the I did.
All in all the product is good and I am so far happy.

Good product

This is a good product, but I would like to am bit meat protein added to the recipes. Also, I wonder if you could a kit that would be more Diabetic Friendly, I expect the the cost be higher but it may be worth considering the high count of Diabetics out there not buying your product because of the high carbohydrates in you current offering.

Good to go

Hard to say much about something one has not yet used and hopefully will not have to, but solely from personal preference you can keep the breakfast items and add in more of the other foods. Also, why not powered milk, cheese and butter. Coffee?

Kit secured

The kit was stowed in my safe room for use when I need it. I took your word for it's value.
I opened one container to get an idea what was in there; nothing was opened . I have no plans to sample anything in advance of need. I doubt and don't want to know for sure if the dehydrated food is as tasty as say a Wendy's hamburger. I considered the investment a calculated risk and hoped it would never be needed. After all, we only have two more years of obombma , eh.

You asked, I didn't volunteer,
Thanks for your exceptional efforts just the same. I appreciate the opportunity provide a little more security for the future.
cjr.

Patriot food

I bought this sight unseen, online. So far, everything looks good. My shipment came via Fed-Ex, consisting of six 68lb. cardboard boxes. If you are small of stature I recommend either a hand truck or a helper to get it to your storage spot. Inside the carton are two heavy duty plastic tubs with snap lock handles 24in. long, 18in. wide and 12in. deep. The tubs, when emptied, will make excellent nesting storage containers. As for the food, it is professionally packaged in single serving mylar pouches and has complete FDA ingredient info on the back. I must now confess I have not eaten any of this food, as it is, in my mind, emergency supplies only and it wf it ill only be eaten in dire straits when supermarket food is unavailable. I expect a big problem may occur on June 16th/17th. I will amend this review as soon as I start eating this food

86 The chocolate pudding and milk

The kit is great, but the pudding and milk has to go put more dried fruits in its place, times will be hard when you need to live on this stuff and dried fruit will go much further than pudding and milk, also some beef jerky would be great for walking around looking for H2O and other things you might need. About microwaving you should put a small pot that can be used over fire to heat your H2O and other things, people need learn about small fires and how to use them properly for heating things. Lifestraw is great, need to come up with something a little bigger, like pitcher size to filter a gallon or so at a time for cooking and cleaning. Everything else is excellent, spot on!!! PS that letter from FEMA is some scary stuff, WAKE UP PEOPLE

I only leave it one short because I have NOT opened any part of it. I just put it away for "THAT" day, if it comes.

My purchase came quickly and seemed to be packaged well to be stored away. That is all I did, store it. Did NOT try any of the products.

Survival for my family

Well to start with we had to hire 2 men to bring the boxes into the house after they suddenly appeared on our door step. We are both in our 80's and together we could NOT budge those huge boxes. It was two days before I could bring them into the house.
I have not yet sampled any of the food.

Improvement Suggestions: Food-4-Patriots

These are a few suggestions for you, Frank.
I think that you have the concept of salesmanship down pretty well, as making the initial purchase is an easy process, and your delivery process is fast and complete. If there happens to be anything improper about a purchase (missing items, etc.) your customer service staff takes care to correct it.

On your order page, I wish you would allow for more than just a three month purchase, it would be appreciated. Only after buying a three month supply, did I become aware that you offered a larger supply. Then I had to make a separate purchase.

In order for open packages to be better preserved, and to lessen the possibility of food spoiling, or doling out excessive portions, smaller packaging should be used whenever possible. Either that, or some sort of container should be included which allows for temporary storage of unused product. That way, you don't have to finish off unfinished product even if you'd rather eat something else for a change.

As others have said, I think you should include additional items such as coffee, tea, and other drink additives. I especially miss seeing meat in your selections. Meat is an important product in my diet, and not getting any for a year or so, in deference to the large amounts of pasta/rice items that you do provide, isn't satisfactory to me.

The lack of certain items from the diet that you provide, left me searching through the products offered by other companies, and making purchases from them to supplement what I already bought from you. As it turns out, that was a good thing as I found that Mountain House #10 cans are offered that provide many products that can easily supplement your meatless dishes. Food diversity could be quite a significant morale booster when in an emergency situation.

You might provide better information regarding calories, portions, etc. as simply stating the number of portions isn't helpful at all when comparing product lines. When such information is sketchy, usually I think that the seller has something to hide? Do you?

Your extras are a nice touch, but I think that you could mix then up a bit. Instead of those four basically useless multi tools, perhaps you could include one such multi tool, one credit card sized knife, one magnifier/fire starter, light sticks, or maybe a ferrous rod fire starter? I'm sure that you could use your imagination and come up with a package that is a better selection and stays within your budget.

I hope this helps your decision making process regarding future packaging and product offerings.

Would like a little bit more information

I think it is a good start to ones supply of food.

I gave it 4 stars because when planning for survival it is important to know how many calories you have available to eat per day.

If the TSHTF more than likely we will find ourselves out of our normal routine which for many of us is fairly sedentary. I wanted to know how many calories per day the "Food Supply Kit" had in it per person/per day.

I calculated it was roughly 1000 calories per day! (If this is wrong I would appreciate a correction)

On that amount of food I would be on a huge diet and would probably not have the energy to do very much for very long unless I ate more per day.

Discovering this I need to supplement the food stash with a variety of dried beans and lintels, powdered milk, lots of spices, cases of spam, Honey, First aid kit(s), Crank Radio, extra life straws, parachute cord, emergency blankets, Army field books on instruction how to do everything in the event of no computer access to read DVD's. Solar Panels (Small) for cell phones, and other rechargeable items.

I know much of this is not food, but adding more food to this kit and picking up these other basic items seems prudent and a good idea. Need a Pellet gun and blow gun for squirrels and other small edible critters. Fishing Tackel. Emergency phone numbers laminated of everyone I need to get a hold of IF the phones work.

I plan to order 3 years of seed and fertilizer, so I can start getting food started on the come, as I use the emergency food packs I have.

I've been locating like minded people and trying to locate people with good talents. A nurse, people who hunt and fish on a regular basis. Farmers, Engineers, Carpendars, etc. These are the types of people that given they are responsible, I would like to know how to reach them or where to find them when special skills are needed.

Anyway Buy MORE Dried Food, and count on having to eat more than you do now. Between the stress, probable increase in exercise, and possibility of having more mouths to feed than just your own, I would consider it a good start.

I do appreciate you making this available for the public to buy. It certainly got me started, and thinking.

More Fruits & Veggies Please

All the entrees are great, not only in taste but ease of preparation. Only tired one of each, need to save for SHTF day. I would like to see more dehydrated fruits, veggies and meats. My diet will have too many carbs with the kit as is, but I will make it work with my garden to supplement. Overall, the one year supply of Food4Patriots and all the "goodies" is FABULOUS!! and definitely recommend others to purchase Food4Patriots. It took me a while to pay for it, but we all need to take action for survival. We need to be there for each other when the day comes and without good nutrition, that will not happen. Do you offer fruit, veggies & meats in separate quantities? Would like to receive a list & prices, please.

Thanks Frank for the opportunity to give some feedback. Thanks to you, and to the teams hard work, we need you! Power4Patriots!

I was a little disappointed when I read the directions and it mentioned using a microwave. In a crisis there won't be electricity I wouldn't think. I was also disappointed in the box of fruits and veggies.... I was expecting packages of individual fruits. More dried fruits need to be added... Great overall...

tasty

Honestly, I haven't taken the time to look through the whole kit yet. We had just relocated to a new home and neighborhood when I bought the kit, so I've been very busy this past year. What I did look at was very cool, and I tasted a couple of the meals and they were delicious! What I didn't understand when I bought the kit was that it was a year supply of food for maybe 2 people. I have a family of 5, so the kit would really only last us about 5 months. Still, I know it was a good investment and peace of mind for going through a future crisis.

The bins stack nicely and the foods looked ok I am happy with my purchase ...but the follow through with the information to folow is a little lacking to say the least and the other reviews are right... there needs to be more meats fruits and vegies these will keep the fellow patriots healthier in the long haul.

Great value for great products

My husband and I are pleased with the food items. Some were not my best choice but everything. Has flavor, some to much salt (for me). I would have liked to have had more meat in some of the dishes; those without I just added my freeze diried meat or chichen or soy products. They are a great value and we are very happy in our decision to puchase them.

very good selection

As a retired Ranger/ Special Forces soldier, always being prepared has been drilled into me over the years and this is undoubtedly one of the best ways I have found to be ready for ..... One suggestion! Either include a bottle of multi-vitamins in each bin or advise your customers to do so. This will help maintain the immune system.
Also add more dried fruits.
